Todd Mohler attended the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association’s (ARCSA) annual National conference “Rainwater – The Forgotten Resource” September 14-16, 2009 in Decatur, Georgia. The conference (http://www.arcsa.org/2009
conference.html) was planned for Decatur, near Atlanta, due to its location at the heart of our nation’s growing concern over dwindling water supplies. ARCSA is dedicated to educating the public on how to harvest and use rainwater and, in turn, reduce the demand for treated water.

JC Nowotny received the CLIA - Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor certification from the Irrigation Association in August, 2009. To receive this certification from the Irrigation Association, a candidate must have 1 year of verifiable experience in the irrigation field, be accepted as a candidate by the Irrigation Association. The candidate must score a passing grade on the examination and perform field tests on landscape irrigation systems to determine efficiency, as well as how to combine plant water use, soils and local weather data to calculate accurate watering schedules for irrigation systems. Most importantly, a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor deals directly with the issue of wise water use on the landscape.
